Associate Director of Development, Major and Planned Gifts

The Folger Shakespeare Library is seeking an Associate Director of Development, Major and Planned Gifts to join their team. This role will build, manage, and provide strategic direction for the Folger’s major gift fundraising programs, working closely with the Chief Development Officer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and be able to provide leadership and training in best practices. They will also have a passion for philanthropy and be able to envision and implement a thoughtful approach to prospect development and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
• 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in development, preferably in a cultural, art, academic or non-profit institution.
• Prior supervisory experience required. Significant expertise in major gift programs.
