Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

An exciting opportunity has become available in our Townsville Workshop for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team. This role would suit an introspective and analytical individual who is task-oriented, and focused on critical and creative problem-solving with a technical mindset.

Requirements

• Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance checks and servicing.
• Diagnostics: Using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
• Repairs: Performing repairs on mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
• Safety Inspections: Conducting safety inspections to ensure that all systems and components meet safety standards and regulations.
• Documentation: Keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Operational Interaction: Communicating with operational leaders, and occasionally drivers, to ensure work is completed within timelines.
• Compliance: Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work complies with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and NHVR regulations.
• Teamwork: Join a large collaborative and driven team to excel.
