Job Description
Our Co-operative at Fonterra is looking for a Sustainable Dairying Advisor to work in the beautiful Western Southland Region. The role will involve delivering sustainability solutions to support dairy farmers in meeting environmental outcomes that promote resource-use efficiency and minimize the environmental footprint of dairy farming in New Zealand. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of on-farm emissions and sustainability practices, and be able to build strong relationships with farmers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of dairy farming and environmental best practice
- Degree qualified in Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability or similar
- Ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated experience working in the agricultural industry within a technical advisory role
