Senior Accountant

Fora is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the company's international expansion and strengthen a growing finance function. The Senior Accountant will own meaningful areas of the month end close, help maintain accounting integrity and controls, and play a key role in scaling processes as Fora grows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 2 to 5 plus years of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or corporate accounting experience, or 10 plus years in small to medium business accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup functions, and advanced formulas, with comfort working with large datasets
• Hands on experience with accounting or finance systems such as QuickBooks, Netsuite, Campfire, Ramp, Sage Intacct, Mercury, or Metabase
• Experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Demonstrated ownership of month end close responsibilities including balance sheet and income statement components
• Experience with accrual accounting, revenue, or complex accounting estimates
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
• Detail oriented, proactive, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast paced, evolving environment
• Able to work in the US and currently based in NYC or willing to relocate
