As a Plant Environmental Control Engineer, you will serve as the technical and regulatory lead for environmental media and operational subjects, including air, water, waste, and remediation. This position requires a strategic professional who can balance technical expertise with project management, ensuring that environmental capital projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Provides technical and regulatory support for one or more environmental media/operational subjects
- Supports achievement of Corporate Footprint and Manufacturing business plan objectives and targets
- Develops accurate and complete correspondence to support site environmental compliance
- Tracks progress and spending on environmental capital and expense projects
- Supports technical aspects of environmental systems
- Utilizes environmental software applications to help achieve business site objectives and targets
- Builds strong, productive working relationships with environmental professionals and manufacturing/non-manufacturing contacts
- Effectively uses standard procedures and best practices to ensure site environmental compliance
- Maintains knowledge of applicable national, regional, and local environmental requirements
- Represents Ford's interests on environmental matters through interaction with external entities
