Manager, Analysis & Mechanical Architecture

Form Energy is an American manufacturing and energy technology company that is revolutionizing energy storage with cost-effective, multi-day technology. The company is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the Analysis & Mechanical Architecture team in Berkeley, CA.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of industry experience
• Well-developed experience analyzing and designing mechanical systems, assemblies and components high-volume manufacture in a hardware product development company
• Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and mentoring direct reports
• Expert knowledge of either: thermal analysis (CFD/FEA), structural analysis (static/dynamic)
• Strong mechanical design experience across multiple shipping products
• Hands-on experience in model validation/correlation
• Experience defining products and engineering requirements, and implementing FMEA principles
• Experience in batteries, energy storage, or other high power products is a plus
• Strong technical communication skills, especially with external parties and across internal functional teams
