The Carbon Engineer will support the development and implementation of FPC USA's carbon governance and decarbonization strategy, with a primary focus on achieving a 10% reduction in carbon intensity by 2030 and establishing the technical foundation for carbon neutrality by 2050.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- ≥5 years of experience in carbon management, energy management, process engineering, sustainability engineering, or a related technical role within manufacturing, chemicals, refining, or energy-intensive industries.
- Practical experience with GHG accounting, energy balance calculations, or process optimization is required.
- Working knowledge of GHG accounting methodologies (e.g., Scope 1 and 2 calculations, emission factors, carbon intensity metrics).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical audiences.
- Requirement to travel means you must have a valid driver's license and should be prepared to drive a motor vehicle and to fly with an overnight stay required.
