We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Engineering Manager â Broadcast Systems to lead a team of broadcast engineers and technicians across Formula 1âs global operations.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of broadcast technology and system design across video, audio, RF and IP
- Strong understanding of broadcast supplier technologies (vision and audio mixers, routers, replay, graphics, etc)
- Ability to lead and support a multiskilled engineering team
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
- Ability to guide, coach and develop team members
- At least 5 yearsâ experience in a broadcast technology role
- Experience working in live sports broadcasting
- Proven ability to manage midâtoâlarge scale broadcast technology upgrade projects
- Experience working with a wide range of broadcast technologies (Video/Audio/RF/IP)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent in an engineering field (preferably broadcastârelated)
- Current UK driving licence is required for this role
- Technically minded with a solutionsâfocused approach
- Effective at leading and supporting multiskilled teams
- Passionate about broadcasting and highâquality technical delivery
- Able to balance handsâon engineering with leadership responsibilities
