Principal Software Development Engineer

Fortinet is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to join their Agentless Workload Scanning team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems and optimizing performance for cloud-native applications. The team focuses on providing actionable insights into potential vulnerabilities in cloud environments to help customers strengthen their security posture. This position requires a combination of strong backend engineering principles and cloud architecture expertise.

Requirements

• Develop an in-depth understanding of the Fortinet-Lacework platform.
• Strong foundation in backend engineering principles, including API design, performance optimization, and observability.
• Experience building and scaling cloud-native applications.
• Proficiency in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks.
• Go is a plus.
