Job Description
Fortinet is seeking a Software QA Specialist to join a cybersecurity team. The role involves working with developers to test software features, identifying and tracking defects, providing knowledge transfer, and assisting with customer-related issues. The position requires strong networking knowledge and experience with various technologies like TCP/IP, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and virtualization platforms.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing/switching protocols, firewalls, VPN technologies
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls
- Extensive knowledge of application protocols: HTTP/FTP/SMTP/IMAP/SSL/TLS
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Deep knowledge of Windows, UNIX or Linux
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies: VMWare, QEMU/KVM, AWS, Openstack
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language: Shell, Python, Javascript
- Knowledge of software development life cycle
- Self-managing ability
