Machine Operator job description: Operate CNC mills and lathes, brake press, and tube benders. Load, unload, and inspect parts. Maintain part quality and production standards.
Requirements
- 1+ years of machining experience
- HS graduate or equivalent
- Basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals
- Maintain dimensional tolerances between ±.0003”-.005” or greater
- Interprets basic dimensions on a print
- Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.
- Basic understanding of CNC controls (e.g., FANUC, Haas) is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel tools and machine parts
- Reaching with arms and hands above shoulder height and below the waist
- Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time (up to 8-12 hours per shift)
- Visual acuity to read blueprints, inspect parts, and operate machinery safely
- Manual dexterity sufficient to handle small parts and operate precision tools
