Machine Operator

Machine Operator job description: Operate CNC mills and lathes, brake press, and tube benders. Load, unload, and inspect parts. Maintain part quality and production standards.

Requirements

• 1+ years of machining experience
• HS graduate or equivalent
• Basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals
• Maintain dimensional tolerances between ±.0003”-.005” or greater
• Interprets basic dimensions on a print
• Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.
• Basic understanding of CNC controls (e.g., FANUC, Haas) is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel tools and machine parts
• Reaching with arms and hands above shoulder height and below the waist
• Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time (up to 8-12 hours per shift)
• Visual acuity to read blueprints, inspect parts, and operate machinery safely
• Manual dexterity sufficient to handle small parts and operate precision tools
