News Photographer

KTVU FOX 2 is seeking an experienced News ENG Photographer to work with a team of journalists covering stories in the Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have a curiosity for their community and the world around them, and be creative in developing unique and engaging content for our broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.

Requirements

• Capture high-quality video footage for daily newscasts, special projects, and breaking news coverage.
• Work closely with reporters and producers to visually enhance storytelling with compelling visuals and sound.
• Edit video content for daily newscasts using non-linear editing systems such as Edius or similar software.
• Set up and operate live transmission equipment, including microwave, satellite, or cellular bonded systems (e.g., LiveU, TVU, etc).
• Troubleshoot technical issues in the field and maintain communication with the control room during live broadcasts.
• Respond quickly to breaking news events and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to meet newsroom needs.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, reporters, and the community while representing the station professionally.
• Stay updated on new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in news production.
