Dual Credit Instructors are responsible for teaching Fox Valley Technical College courses at high schools, promoting student success, and developing instructional strategies. They must be well-prepared and highly motivated to teach high school students who earn college credits.
Requirements
- Learning Facilitation – Foster student learning by developing instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Assessment – Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to help students be successful.
- Classroom Management – Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student attendance and grade records, and maintain instructional environment.
- Team Participation – Support the college and department, as well as staying current with internal and external changes and initiatives.
- Student Success & Support – Serve as an advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services staff to retain students and close achievement gaps.
- Professional Development – Continually improve knowledge and skills in emerging trends, current occupational practices, and teaching through professional development activities.
- Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements: Hold a current DPI license, proficiency utilizing learning management system, strong verbal communication skills, and adapt quickly to changing demands.
