Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team at Sports Direct Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing seasonal and annual buying strategies, selecting and managing product ranges, and collaborating with suppliers and brands to drive growth and profitability. The role involves commercial and performance analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and team leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of buying experience in sports, fashion, or lifestyle retail
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in margin management, supplier negotiations, and category growth
- High competency in trend forecasting, range building, and performance analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and retail reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
- Passion for fashion, streetwear, lifestyle trends, and delivering customer-first assortments
