Job Description
The Fraunhofer Society is offering a thesis opportunity in cooperation with the Chair of Laser Technology LLT. The project involves designing and building a test stand to optimize the performance of a powder switch for Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) additive manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, CES, Simulation Sciences, Process Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar field
- Independent, organized, and structured way of working
- First practical experience in CFD simulation (e.g., Ansys Fluent) and CAD design
- Broad technical interest and manual skills
