The Fraunhofer Society is looking for a student to work on a bachelor or master thesis in technical chemistry at the Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology IGB. The student will work on the production, characterization, and screening of heterogeneous catalysts, and will have the opportunity to bring their own ideas into a strong team and find solutions to pressing future questions.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, process engineering, materials science, or a related discipline
- Experience with laboratory work, material synthesis, and reactor operation
- Good knowledge of material characterization techniques and tools like MATLAB, OriginPro, and ChemCAD (advantageous but not necessary)
- Good English skills in writing and speaking; German skills are an advantage but not necessary
- Team-oriented, meticulous, and self-responsible working style, as well as the ability to work independently and scientifically
