The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE is seeking a student assistant to work on a master's thesis on the development of representation options, evaluations, and visualizations for the website energy-charts.info, which provides transparent presentation of key energy economic data. The ideal candidate is a student studying communication, media studies, computer science, economics, engineering sciences, environmental sciences, or a comparable field, with a basic understanding of technical, economic, and political relationships, and interest in energy markets, energy economics, and renewable energies.

Requirements

• Study communication, media studies, computer science, economics, engineering sciences, environmental sciences, or a comparable field
• Basic understanding of technical, economic, and political relationships
• Interest in energy markets, energy economics, and renewable energies
• Ability to integrate into a team and achieve common goals in interdisciplinary cooperation
• Independence and high-quality task completion
• Experience with Python and JavaScript or other programming languages
• Experience in web programming or interest in getting involved
• Proficiency in German and English in writing and speech
