Masterarbeit: Design of Experiments Power Engines

This is an unpaid master's thesis position at the Fraunhofer IEM in Paderborn, where you will work on designing experiments for power engines using data-based modeling. You will develop an optimized Design-of-Experiments approach to reduce experimental effort and develop modern prediction methods.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a comparable course of study
• Studying at a university/hospital in Ostwestfalen (e.g. Bielefeld, Paderborn, surrounding area)
• Interest in thermal or energy-related systems and data-based modeling
• Basic knowledge of statistics and numerical optimization methods
• Programming knowledge in Python or MATLAB
