The Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Materials Research IFAM is seeking a Student Assistant - Electric Drives to support project work in the area of electromagnetic and thermal calculation of electric motors. The role involves recreating and further developing scripts for the automated setup of electromagnetic FEM models and learning and applying the FEM software ANSYS Electronics Desktop (Maxwell).

Requirements

• Matriculation in Electrical Engineering (Energy Technology) or a comparable course of study
• Interest in electric drives and simulating and developing them using FEM
• Personal motivation, communication skills, reliability, team ability, and independent working style
• Very good German language skills and good English language skills
