Pathology Lab Supervisor

The Pathology Lab Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of the histology laboratory and the laboratory quality monitoring program. The supervisor is also responsible for all aspects of staff management, including hiring/firing, annual performance appraisals, merit review, competency assessments, and handling disciplinary action when appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
• Minimum of five years of experience in clinical laboratory testing
• HT or HTL (ASCP) laboratory certification
• Demonstrated ability to handle personnel conflicts and issues diplomatically
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Must be able to differentiate between colors and pass a standardized color vision screen to perform this role
