Head Coach - Varsity Cross Country

The Head Coach of any sport supports and advances the mission of FCS by planning, organizing, and directing the Varsity program for your assigned team, as well as overseeing the Junior Varsity and Middle School programs and coaches, with a Christian worldview and a high level of sport expertise.

Requirements

• Committed Christian with a close personal walk with the Lord and the Christian character qualities to serve as a role model for young people
• Previous head coaching experience at the high school or club level preferred
• Playing experience required (if assistant coach, this is preferred, not required)
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including effective listening skills
• Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive environment
• Working knowledge about athletic program regulations
• Skillfully manage individual, group, and organizational interactions
• Averts problem situations and intervenes to resolve conflicts
• Exercises self-control and perseverance when dealing with students
• Must be CPR/AED certified or willing to complete certification shortly after hire
• Teachable, servant spirit
