The Graduate Admissions Counselor is responsible for directing and achieving many aspects of the University’s enrollment efforts for select graduate programs. They represent the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism through an array of outreach programs and activities.
Requirements
- Represent the University to prospective students and the general public with the highest degree of professionalism
- Plan and implement recruitment strategies and activities to find, attract, and recruit new students to the university
- Counsel prospective students regarding educational opportunities, admissions requirements, and policies and procedures
- Manage student inquiries and applications via telephone, email, text message, etc.
- Accurately log and maintain all communication with prospective students
- Create and update student information using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
- Present program and admissions information to prospective students at information sessions and conferences
- Network and build positive relationships with various organizations, schools, businesses, etc.
- Meet aggressive enrollment goals for each start term
- Work collaboratively with faculty personnel to give feedback from prospective graduate students to improve academic programs
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and revising admissions printed and digital materials
- Support, and contribute to, the mission and vision of Freed-Hardeman University and the Office of Graduate Admissions
