Job Description
Freenome is a biotech company focused on using machine learning to detect cancer using a multiomics platform. They are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer to develop and deploy DL models, optimize infrastructure, and collaborate with various teams to advance cancer screening and early detection. The role focuses on enabling scalable AI/ML systems within a cloud environment and contributing to an interdisciplinary R&D team.
Requirements
- MS or equivalent experience in a relevant, quantitative field.
- 5+ years of post-MS industry experience developing AI/ML software engineering pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Julia, C, C++, etc.
- Strong knowledge of ML and DL fundamentals and hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Jax, or Scikit-learn.
- In-depth knowledge of scalable and distributed computing platforms (e.g., Ray, DeepSpeed, or Scikit-learn).
