Job Description
The Chief Environmental Scientist will plan, organize, manage, and evaluate designated engineering projects and programs, ensuring successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. The role will also supervise, enhance, and monitor designated engineering practices, report environmental compliance issues, and make recommendations for correction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Earth Science, or related natural science, or Master's degree in a related field
- Seven (7) years of related experience, or five (5) years with a Master's degree
- Strong leadership skills with supervising staff of varying experience and disciplines
- Experience with data, quality insurance, and quality control
- Experience working in an industrial facility and ability to manage a dynamic operation and regulatory setting
- Familiarity with solid waste management and air quality programs
