Mechanical Engineer

FreePower is building the next generation of wireless power technology, and we're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, development, and prototyping of innovative hardware products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in mechanical/product design
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
• Hands-on experience with prototyping tools (3D printing, laser cutting, machining, etc.)
• Strong understanding of materials, tolerancing, and mechanical design principles
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and moldability considerations
• Familiarity with injection molding, sheet metal design, and/or tooling processes
• Experience with stepper motors and linear motion systems
• Ability to move quickly from concept to prototype with attention to detail
