Job Description
Provide direct services to meet the health needs of students and staff on a school campus, implementing the district school health services program under the clinical supervision of the school nurse (RN) and Coordinator of School Health Services.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CPR and AED Certification
- Valid Texas LVN license issued by the Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years an LVN
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing procedures and techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge of the LVN scope of practice as defined by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Ability to accept supervision and direction from campus principal and/or RN
- Proficient in using equipment and technology for the delivery of healthcare services
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff both verbally and in writing
