We're looking for a Career Development Advisor to provide career advising and support to students and alumni pursuing careers in media communications.
Requirements
- Provide one-on-one career advising to students and alumni
- Lead workshops and informational sessions on relevant career topics
- Collaborate with departments across the university to provide career resources
- Stay up-to-date on current industry trends and job opportunities in media communications
- Develop and maintain relationships with alumni and employers
- Utilize technology and online resources to assist with career exploration and job search strategies
- Educate and assist candidate graduates with career search practices
- Maintain accurate records of student and alumni interactions and outcomes
- Communicate and delegate assignments to the assistant
- Provide statistical information for the yearly accreditation
- Organize and develop resources for industry research
- Develop outreach practices to assist graduate networking
- Attend industry-related seminars, conventions, and conferences
