Job Description
The Office of School Health is seeking a Data Scientist to improve public health surveillance among New York City public school students by supporting data linkage and integration efforts and identifying health risk indicators among the student population.
Requirements
- Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, data science, economics, or a related field
- Experience applying statistical and/or epidemiologic methods to administrative data
- Past research experience
- Knowledge of research and evaluation methods
- Experience with statistical programming software such as SAS, R, PYTHON, or STATA and other tools such as SQL
