Senior Backend Engineer

Tru Identity is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the architecture and development of its scalable, intelligent systems incorporating powerful AI features. The candidate will design, implement, and maintain robust, high-quality backend APIs and services running on AWS, and mentor junior engineers. Requirements

• 5+ years of proven software engineering experience with a deep focus on backend.
• Expert in Python/Django with a focus on performance and scalability
• Prior experience working in a fast-moving startup environment having taken a product from 0 → 1
• Proficient in AWS and infrastructure management.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping production-grade AI features leveraging LLMs, LangChain, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Hands-on experience of deploying, scaling and monitoring AI/ML models, including LLMs, on modern cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with observability tools (Sentry, Prometheus, etc.)
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture
