Applied AI Engineer (Automation)

Fusemachines is seeking an Applied AI Engineer (Automation) to design, develop, and deploy tailored AI and automation solutions for clients. The ideal candidate will have strong Python engineering skills, experience integrating LLMs, and familiarity with RAG fundamentals and retrieval systems.

Requirements

• 3–8 years of software or AI engineering experience
• 2–3+ years of AI Automation, Generative AI, or Agentic AI experience
• Strong Python engineering skills and experience building APIs/services
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs
• Experience with at least one workflow automation platform
• Familiarity with RAG fundamentals and retrieval systems
• Production engineering fundamentals: Docker, cloud deployment, and async/queuing patterns
