Mate / Mate In Training

Mate / Mate In Training responsible for the safe operation and navigation of the vessel, as well as performing various duties including inspections, maintenance, and repair of equipment and assisting the Master with administrative tasks.

Requirements

• Hold a U. S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) endorsed as Mate of Towing Vessels or Mate of vessels greater than 200 gross registered tons
• Hold a valid TWIC issued by the Transportation Security Administration
• Comply with the Towing Safety Management System (TSMS) and all applicable regulations
