Job Description
The Mate Training & Observation (MTO) position is responsible for the safety of the crew and prevention of environmental pollution incidents, as well as performing unlicensed deck duties and operating the vessel under supervision.
Requirements
- U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) endorsed as Mate of Towing Vessels or Mate of vessels greater than 200 gross registered tons (unlimited)
- Valid TWIC issued by the Transportation Security Administration
- Ability to perform all functions listed in the job description with or without reasonable accommodation as based on ADA requirements
Benefits
- Rate of Pay: $454.24 for a 24-hour harbor day, $227.12 for a 12-hour harbor day
