Job Description
G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced Mine Supervisor (Drill and Blast) to lead daily drilling and blasting operations at the Oko West Project in Guyana. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant blasting operations, leading and managing drill and blast crews, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Technical diploma in Mine or Geology engineering and blasting
- Minimum 5–8 years of mining experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in drilling and blasting
- Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques, equipment, and explosives handling
- Experience in open-pit and/or underground mining operations
- Ability to interpret blast designs, maps, and technical documentation
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Familiarity with blast design software and monitoring equipment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
