Job Description
The Kennel Master will manage and maintain the kennel, conduct in-country training of explosives detection dogs, and perform daily maintenance training.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language
- Be able to pass the medical and physical requirements outlined in the contract
- Meet all standards as required by the contract
- Have a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license
- Obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance (current, active clearance preferred)
- Must possess a North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) certification or equivalent national/state/provincial military or law enforcement certification as a working dog handler
- Must possess a national/state/provincial military or law enforcement certification as a kennel master, canine supervisor, or canine trainer
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an explosives detection dog trainer, kennel master or canine supervisor that has occurred, in part, within the last (7) seven years
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) additional year of security-related experience
