Instrument Operator / Land Surveyor

Gaskins + LeCraw has joined the Pape-Dawson family. We are seeking an Instrument Operator / Land Surveyor for their Longview, TX office. The position is responsible for operating surveying instruments and assisting in conducting field surveys.

Requirements

• Load and unload surveying supplies and equipment from trucks.
• Inspect and test survey equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Operate surveying instruments such as data collectors, Total Stations, levels, and GPS-RTK Receivers under supervision.
• Conduct field work to determine the location of natural and man-made features on land surfaces.
• Assist in gathering precise measurements of lines, angles, points, areas, elevations, and boundaries.
• Compile notes, sketches, and records of survey data and work performed.
• Provide basic guidance to Rodmen as directed by the Party Chief.
• Perform additional survey tasks as directed by the Party Chief.
