Requirements

• Safely transport students to and from home and on field trips
• Perform student counts and gather information concerning students and routes
• Obey all traffic laws and observe all safety regulations for school buses
• Maintain student discipline and report disciplinary matters to the proper authority
• Keep assigned bus clean and maintain assigned schedule
• Check bus prior to operation for mechanical problems/concerns and notify proper authority in case of mechanical failure or schedule delay/lateness
• Report all accidents, driving hazards, and other related incidents
• Adhere to Bus Driver Agreement and follow Bus Driver's Handbook
• Comply with all NC rules and regulations governing the safe operation of a school bus/passenger vehicle and all Gaston County Schools' rules and regulations
