Substance Abuse Counselor

Gateway Foundation is a national non-profit dedicated to helping individuals with substance use and mental health disorders. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting client interviews and assessments, evaluating client response to treatment, and providing individual client counseling and educational programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a helping profession from an accredited college or university
• Previous counseling experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment is preferred
• Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor within 30 months of the first date that the counseling services are provided
• Ability to obtain Georgia Department of Corrections clearance to work in the correctional institution
