As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will be responsible for conducting client interviews and assessments, evaluating client response to treatment, and providing individual client counseling and educational programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a helping profession from an accredited college or university
- Previous counseling experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment is preferred
- Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor within 30 months of the first date that the counseling services are provided
- Ability to obtain Georgia Department of Corrections clearance to work in the correctional institution
