Checker/Cashier

Operate a cash register and checkstand to provide efficient checkout service, perform stocking and other duties as assigned, and ensure the work shift contributes to the store's financial best interests.

Requirements

• Observe all store rules and company policies
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times
• Perform cash audits, count cash drawers, and add up or record purchases
• Assist customers with bulk products, collect money, and tender accurate change
• Process sales transactions, handle lottery and postage stamp transactions, and bag or package merchandise
• Stock merchandise, handle damaged or spoiled products, and comply with safety policies and procedures
• Perform front-end duties, train personnel, and control utilities and water usage
