Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology

Geisinger's Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join Geisinger Community Medical Center located at Olive Street in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients, manage the smooth operation of inpatient and outpatient cardiology services, and order testing as necessary.

Requirements

• Collaborate with physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients
• Manage and assist in the smooth, efficient operations of inpatient and outpatient cardiology services
• Order testing as deemed necessary and remain proficient in interpreting results and prescribing medication
• Be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA or be a graduate of a ARC-approved physician assistant program
• Be eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine
