We are Gelber Group, a proprietary trading firm that is looking for an Experienced Discretionary Energy Trader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of profitability in a trading position for at least 3 years and will be responsible for managing their own trading book and making strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Manage own trading book with a focus on energy markets such as refined products, natural gas, and power
- Manage own risk across a portfolio of active strategies and drive trading decisions
- Analyze market fundamentals including supply/demand dynamics, storage levels, weather patterns, geopolitical developments, and regulatory changes
- Interpret price action, spreads, and order flow to identify trading opportunities
- Develop, test, and refine discretionary or systematic-informed strategies using historical and real-time market data
- Continuously monitor market conditions, news, and macroeconomic and energy-specific events
- Monitor material changes in levels of risk and variance in PnL, especially focused around deviation from your plans, and proactively communicate those changes to leadership
