Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team supporting the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The position involves performing calculations and interpretations of industry codes to support design development, project management, and technical support for fabrication and hoisting and rigging tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a strong structural background
- 10+ years of experience in DOE’s nuclear facilities and/or commercial nuclear plants
- U.S. citizenship
- Government issued clearance
- Material designs (steel, masonry, concrete, cold formed metal)
- Material handling practices and lift classifications
- AISC, ACI, AWS, ASCE, ANSI, and other relevant codes and standards
