General Matter is seeking a proactive and skilled Environmental Engineer to support the design and licensing of nuclear fuel cycle facilities.
Requirements
- Conduct environmental assessments and support the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Environmental Reports (ER)
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate environmental considerations into facility layouts, processes, and technologies
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize environmental impacts related to air, water, soil, and waste management
- Prepare and submit permit applications for environmental approvals from federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including EPA, NRC, and state-specific requirements
- Conduct environmental monitoring and data analysis to support compliance and operational improvements
- Provide technical expertise during regulatory inspections, audits, and public hearings
- Stay informed about changes in environmental regulations and their potential impact on facility design and licensing
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices
