Job Description
Staff Engineer, Packaging Lead - Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (Advanced Vehicle Development) at GM Global Technical Center - Cole Engineering Center Podium: lead packaging of ADAS components, partner with technical specialists and system engineers, integrate sensors and hardware into vehicles, collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 8+ years of automotive engineering experience, including Active Safety features and packaging integration
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on design
- Proficiency with VIS Mockup or similar tools to review math/CAD data
- Proven track record leading complex, concurrent engineering assignments
- Experience mentoring and developing other engineers
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional integration teams
- Effective conflict resolution skills and ability to navigate ambiguity and change positively
- Highly self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal guidance
- Confident, influential communicator who can motivate and align diverse stakeholders
