Consultant Subsea Pipeline Engineer

We are seeking a Consultant Subsea Pipeline Engineer to lead and provide expertise in the design of subsea pipeline systems at all project phases. The successful candidate will work closely with the UK Delivery Team leadership and the UK Subsea Pipelines Team Leader, based in Aberdeen.

Requirements

• BSc / BEng (MSc / MEng preferred) in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
• Broad understanding of offshore pipeline engineering
• Experienced leading and undertaking design of offshore pipelines
• Experience of Field Architecture & Greenfield Development concepts & methodologies
• Experience in checking / reviewing design reports, calculations and drawings
• Preparation of linepipe specifications, data sheets and MTO’s
• Preparation of flange, valve, fittings and bends specification & data sheets
• Strong, demonstrable experience of working on Study projects & contributing to FEEDs, Detailed Design, Option reviews etc.
• Strong, demonstrable understanding of subsea pipeline mechanical design
• Understanding of pipeline stress analysis and associated software
• Strong understanding of international pipeline codes and standards
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Full command of English language
• Good computer literacy with particular competence in MS office software
