Job Description
Genesys is seeking a Staff Cloud Platform Engineer to join its IT organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles and will be responsible for architecting, building, and evolving scalable, secure, and highly available AWS platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 8+ years of related experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles
- Advanced, hands-on expertise with AWS, including compute, networking (VPCs), serverless technologies, and messaging services
- Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform; familiarity with AWS CloudFormation
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, and Bash/Shell
- Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions and AWS-native tooling
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, system design, and operational best practices
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems independently and lead initiatives with broad organizational impact
