Principal Consultant-Data Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on skills in PL/SQL, Python, and Informatica to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, performing ETL operations, and ensuring data integrity across various enterprise systems.

Requirements

• Build data pipelines by building ETL processes (Extract-Transform-Load).
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud resources to ensure efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems within the cloud environment, security groups, and encryption mechanisms.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Python/SQL for batch and near real-time processing.
• Develop and maintain complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages for data transformations, validations and reporting.
• Design and implement ETL workflows in Informatica, including mapping, session, and workflow development.
• Data Migration in cloud service
• Develop application programs using Big Data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, etc with appropriate cloud-based services like Amazon AWS, etc.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud-based applications and data.
• Analyse business and functional requirements
• Participating in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules and/or potential problems
• Understand current application infrastructure and suggest Cloud based solutions
• Coordinate with release management, other supporting teams to deploy changes in production environment
