The Engineering Technician will assist the Design & NPD Engineering team during the research, development, testing and production transfer of new products. The role involves providing technical assistance, executing planned work, and leading training events.
Requirements
- 2-year AS degree or equivalent certification in a technical or trade school
- 2-5 years of experience in a technical role
- Proficiency in operating machinery, powered equipment, hand tools, and other relevant technology
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret 3D models (SolidWorks preferred) and technical documents
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in MS Office Products, Visio, and Project or similar knowledge
- Working knowledge of statistical software (MiniTab, etc.)
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, results-driven and possess strong interpersonal and team skills
- Natural curiosity in solving complex and challenging problems in a dynamic environment
- Working knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks) and 3-D printing
- Sound understanding of composite designs, composite material structures and the ability to build and test composite materials
