Job Description
The Outbound Operations Supervisor is a people leader that drives the successful execution of all pulling and outbound shipping activities.
Requirements
- Supervising and implementing functions of efficient outbound operations
- Designing and maintaining organization of truck yard operations
- Ensuring efficient organization of trailers, housekeeping, maintenance, and safety protocols
- Proactively maintaining awareness of budget planning and enforcing cost-saving initiatives
- Supervising and providing leadership to warehouse associates
- Working with other DC management to investigate and resolve shipping errors
- Scheduling team hours to ensure peak period coverage and efficiency
- Protecting company assets and ensuring all equipment is used and maintained properly
- Responsible for leading efficient and accurate methods of processing outbound orders
- Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and implementing process improvements
- Fostering a culture of engagement and empowerment
