Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for providing design support to the organization, improving operational safety, quality, and efficiency, and providing support for design and development of new products and processes.
Requirements
- Designs and implements equipment and tooling for production processes
- Oversees generation and maintenance of CAD drawings for tooling and equipment design
- Provides support for design and development of new products
- Creates and implements process standards and specifications
- Utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools to advance operational Continuous Improvement
- Defines best practice approaches and establishes these practices throughout Motion's fabrication facilities
- Discusses and solves complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers
- Project management skills to oversee a project through idea, design, manufacturing, and implementation stages
