Job Description
Under general supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer provides design support to the organization, improving operational safety, quality, and efficiency. Provides support for design and implementation of new and improved product and process solutions. This position supports Motion's initiatives to improve profitability through improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Material Flow.
Requirements
- Designs and implements equipment and tooling for production processes
- Provides support for design and development of new belting products
- Creates and implements process standards and specifications
- Utilizes Lean Manufacturing tools to advance operational Continuous Improvement
- Defines best practice approaches and establishes these practices throughout Motion's fabrication facilities
- Discusses and solves complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers
- Project management skills to oversee a project through idea, design, manufacturing, and implementation stages
- Proficient use of CAD software. Competent use of Microsoft Office suite software
